Progress Report: 12/19/21

Hello and welcome to the first ever YouVue Progress Report! Progress Reports will basically explain what I've been doing for the past couple of days as the website become more and more complete. It will also include screenshots and maybe even clips if I feel like it (most likely not soz). Here is a tl;dr list of the stuff done if you want to glance and go (if that's your thing). 

• Emails are now properly working and sending to users with no problems

•  Modules are for the most part install and fully operational (ffmpeg is the only exception)

•  Front page improved (YouVue Front Page bumpers and improved spotlight system)

•  Improved CSS (more accurate and refined)
• Pages with extensive information (with more coming soon...)
• Language packs (proper english packs for US and UK, with different languages being supported at a later date.)

Okay, with that over with, lets go more in depth with each of the things listed above.

Former dev files recovered!

Good news! The former development files of YouVue before the hiatus has been recovered and is currently being uploaded to a new server. Stay tuned for more information!

Quick tidbit about the YouVue Blog...

Just wanted to let readers know that for now and for as long as I am working on this, this website will only be used to announce new features, bug fixes, development halts, and other tidbits. It will NOT be used to promote politial news of any sorts such as election results, or posting for one party over another. That's what the website is for lol. 

 

Blog design edits

With the new development announcement made eariler today, I thought it would be a good idea to update the design and sidebar stuff on the blog. Over the next few days you might see some new designs and things to see/do on the side of the blog, keep an eye out ;)

We're back! (again)

 Development is starting up again cause YouTube is destroying their website again and I've had enough. More information will come soon.

Development might restart one more time.

As I continue to work on the website, it appears that the older PHP code might not be a good idea as its been a pain to get running properly on a modern server. I might restart development if OldTube releases under open source, but the only thing we can do right now is wait.

Fixing Language files

Another small update, I am working on fixing any spelling errors made on the website that I haven't fixed already. That's it. No seriously, that's it. Go home or something.
